Posted by Gabriel Burczyk | Founder & CEO

April 12, 2012

Janus Co-Chief Investment Officer examines the new risks in fixed income that most investors don’t know about.  "The world has changed for fixed income investors. We're also likely to see an increase in demand from industrial users or other sectors. Longer term, we think new markets will open up. Some will be in the industrial sector, others will be electric utilities, and we’ll probably see exports to global markets in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG)." Egypt’s Ripple Effects - Janus Monthly Commentary

March 4, 2011
The latest commentary from money manager Janus takes a look at different possible outcomes in Egypt and what the effects could be on the region and emerging markets in general. "While the resignation of Hosni Mubarak releases some pressure in Egypt, some of the longer term regional and global investment concerns remain. How Will the Financial Reform Bill Affect the Economic Recovery? - Janus Capital

September 7, 2010
Much of the regulation's implementation has been left to regulators, which limits the ability to quantify its overall effects. While there isn't full clarity at this point, it is important to recognize that this is one of the largest pieces of financial legislation in the last 100 years, and the most significant since the 1930s. While politics are inherently messy, we think this reform is a step in the right direction for the health of the U.S. banking system's long-term profitability, as well as for the overall economic growth of America.
